About the farm
We started Back Beyond Farm in 2002 on a defunct sidehill dairy in Tunbridge, Vermont. By the spring of 2003, we had rebuilt fences, barns, and our corral in order to get animals back on the land. Back Beyond Farm has been home to herds of beef and pigs, as well as to flocks of chickens, turkeys, and geese. Our goal has long been to raise animals using a pasture-based system that emphasizes the health of the livestock and the health of our soils. During this same time, we have also annually grown a variety of organic vegetables, including tomatoes, squash, potatoes, and onions.
Currently, Back Beyond offers grass-fed beef; pastured, non-GMO Berkshire pork; certified organic, free-range turkeys; and a selection of certified organic produce.
